President Trump on the phone call with President Zelensky of Ukraine was seeking for him to assist Attorney General Bill Barr and the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) with investigating potential corruption in Ukraine regarding Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden. President Trump is the top law-enforcement agent as President and should encourage any foreign nation to cooperate with the DOJ. In addition, the media neglects to give the context that President Zelensky was an underdog candidate elected on cleaning up corruption similar to President Trump being elected to “Drain the Swamp” so these two leaders collaborating on rooting out corruption is only logical. Democrats in Congress claim that foreign aid to Ukraine was withheld unless the Ukrainians cooperated with Trump known as “Quid Pro Quo” which is illegal. However, President Zelensky denies he was pressured by Trump to give him “dirt” on Biden. Furthermore, Acting Ambassador to Ukraine Bill Taylor testified to Congress that Ukraine did not even know that aid was being withheld. A more plausible explanation to any hold-up with Ukraine aid, is that President Trump ran on “America First” and is an opponent of foreign aid, meaning him being skeptical of giving aid to a country is not surprising. Ukraine was rated one of the most corrupt countries by Ernst and Young, so any money granted to that country needs to be thoroughly reviewed.
The whistleblower for this phone call did not even hear the phone-call firsthand account of the phone-call but a third hand account based on hearsay. Furthermore, the whistleblower is a partisan Democrat that worked for Joe Biden when he was Vice President. The whistleblower hired partisan, liberal lawyers. For example, the lead counsel Andrew Bakaj has worked for Democrats Hillary Clinton, Senator Chuck Schumer and former Senator Moynihan. The co-consul Mark Zaid is part of the anti-Trump “Resistance” tweeting as early as 2017 “#coup has started. First of many steps. #rebellion. #impeachment will follow ultimately. #lawyers”. You can see the tweet here. Even more egregious, the whistleblower before filing the report went to Democrat, Intelligence Committee Chair, Adam Schiff to talk about the phone-call. This suggests an orchestrated plot against the President, since Congressman Adam Schiff has been dead set on impeachment since day one. Congressman Schiff lacks credibility because when the Mueller Report was still private, he said the report showed “Russian Collusion which first of all isn't a crime and the report, in fact, showed no crime of any sort. As for Biden's, while Joe Biden was Vice President and head of Ukraine relations for the Obama Administration, his son Hunter Biden was receiving $83,000 a month as a board member of corrupt Ukrainian energy company Burisma. Then Biden even admitted that he withheld $1 billion loan guarantee unless the Special Prosecutor, investigating Burisma was fired. This Special Prosecutor was fired and in turn the loan guarantee was cleared. You can see Biden’s own words here. It’s also worth noting that Hunter Biden only has this job since his father was Vice President. He had no qualifications in Ukraine or energy and was discharged from the military for cocaine use. In other words, President Trump is now being attacked for investigating the corruption of Joe Biden. The hypocrisy of this story is that there is a video of then President Obama telling a Russian diplomat to tell Putin that he is more flexible after the election. The media also neglects to report that President Trump has already had policies that were more Ukraine than Obama. Most notably, President Trump approved the sale of lethal military weapons to Ukraine, including anti-tank/Javelin missiles to help defend Ukraine from Russia. In 1999-2000 former President Bill Clinton signed a treaty with Ukraine to establish cooperation on legal and criminal matters between the two nations. This is a further justification of President Trump seeking assistance from Ukraine to investigate corruption since there is a legal precedent. The House of Representatives voted to open an impeachment inquiry into President Trump 232-196. This marks the first ever partisan inquiry. Actually, there was bipartisan opposition to opening an impeachment inquiry with two Democrats voting against the resolution to open an impeachment inquiry and all Republicans voting against the inquiry. In 1998 31 Democrats voted to open an impeachment inquiry into Bill Clinton and in 1974 the House of Representatives voted 410-4 to open an impeachment inquiry into Richard Nixon. Undoubtedly, House Democrats have ended the tradition on impeachment being bipartisan and based on “high crimes and misdemeanors”. In the meantime, the promises Democrats made to voters in the 2018 elections on healthcare and infrastructure remain unachieved.
